Her Puppies by
Vaesjan`s Martell
‘Freya’ who belongs to my niece and family came here to Ravenstone to have her first litter, then she returned home.
We were very thrilled to be the lucky breeders of the first litter sired by the Norwegian Import Vaesjan`s Martell.
At 4 weeks old these babies looked very promising, showing the type and quality we expect from Norway. Typical wedge heads and neat ears which the breed mustn’t` lose.
We were even more pleased with them when they were running around at about 6 weeks. Freya was a super mum, devotedly caring for them and producing lots of milk to give them the best start in life.
Hoping to see Two dog puppies and Two bitches in the Show-ring from April.
Our puppies are all tattooed before they leave here so that they can easily be traced or identified.
More pictures of some of the pups below as they grow.
Ravenstone Toastmaster
(Bragi)
Even though he lives in Scotland and his owners can only get to some more Northern shows, he has had a super start to his show career.
He has been Best Puppy in Breed at foru Championship shows where CC’s ahve been on offer, including the Norwegian Elkhound Club of Great Britain championship show at 6 months old.
His biggest win so far has been to win Best Puppy in Breed, Best Dog and the Challenge Certificate, under Norwegian breed expert Rolf Frostad and Best Puppy In Show under Mrs Z Thorn-Andrews at the ‘The Hound Association’ Championship show in August 2007.
He is now a proven sire, looking forward to seeing his offspring in the UK showrings.
